Will the history repeat in Brasil F1 race?!


One race and we will know the 2008 F1 champion. Last year we had the same situation with but Kimi in the title battle for Ferrari.

Last year Hamilton was leader with 107 points, followed by Kimi with 100 points. This year Hamilton is again in top with 94 points followed with 87 points by Massa.

Hamilton starts from 2nd row but finished just on position 7. Kimi starts that race behind Lewis and finish first, in this way he won his first F1 title by 1 point.

Top 10 F1 pole position on all tracks in Spain is lead by Michael Schumacher with 8 pole positions 1 at Jerez and 7 at Catalunya. He is followed by Ayrton Senna with 4 pole positions all of them at Jerez.

First ever Spain F1 pole positions was won by Alberto Ascari who in 1951 and 1954 start from pole at Pedralbes. Ascari will never won a Spain race.

This week will be the first F1 street race in Valencia. Until now we had F1 races in Spain on tracks like : Catalunya, Montjuich Park, Jerez, Jarama and Pedralbes.

Lewis Hamilton - 10 F1 pole positions


At Hungaroring, the british driver Lewis Hamilton got the pole position number 10 in his F1 career. In 2007 on Lewis first race at Hungaroring obtain the pole and the victory, in 2007 he obtain just the pole position, he finish on position 5 because a tire problem.

In the first season in F1 Hamilton had 6 pole positions in 17 races. In 2008 after 11 races he got another 4 pole positions.

Hungaroring 2008 F1 race


The Hungaroring 2008 F1 race brings a new driver to the first position on podium, Heikki Kovalainen. Timo Glock finish on 2nd place, his ever best position in a F1 race and the best position for Toyota in the last years.

Heikki Kovalainen won the first F1 GP at 26 years, 9 months and 15 days. Kovalainen won a GP after 28 races in F1. This season he got the first pole position at Silverstone but finish that race just in position 5. In 2007 in the Japan GP he finish on 2nd place and this year at Sepang he got the 3rd place. The 2008 Hungaroring F1 GP, was won by Heikki after he start from 2nd position.

The Toyota driver Timo Glock got the 2nd place, this is the best ever place he finish a F1 race. Until this race best result for Timo Glock was place 4 on Montreal this year.

Toyota is again on the podium, this is the best position in the last years for the team. Toyota finish on 2nd place in another 2 races, both in 2005 Jarno Trulli in 2 consecutive races at Sepang and Bahrain. In 2008 this is the best performance after Timo finish on 4 palce at Montreal and Trully finish on 4 at Sepang and on 3rd at Magny Cours.

Hungaroring Formula1 Pole Position


11 drivers had pole position in the past on Hungaroring, only 4 of them had the pole more than once. Michael Schumacher lead this statistics, and some years will lead it, because he had 7 pole positions on Hungaroring. Next in this stat is Ayrton Senna with 3 poles. Others two drivers had pole twice : Mika Hakkinen and Riccardo Patrese.

Schumacher start in 14 races on Hungaroring and in half of tham had the pole. Third race for Schumacher on Hungaroring brings the pole, victory and fastest lap in 1994. He succed this performance in 2004. On Hungaroring he got pole position in 1994, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2004 and 2005.

In the TOP 10 on Hungaroring we found not famous drivers, but they had at least a great race on Hungaroring. They start the race behind, and during the race they get in the top overtaking a few cars.

The leaders of this stat are two drivers from italy is Alex Caffi and Emanuele Pirro.

Alex Caffi run first time in a F1 race at Monza in 1986. He start in 77 F1 races, finish in points in 1989 at Monte Carlo and Montreal and in 1990 at Monte Carlo getting in total 6 points. Participat in 7 Formula1 seasons and run with 5 cars: Osella, Dallara, Arrows, Footwark and Coloni. At Hungaroring he start in 4 races (in 1991 he not qualified), finish the race in 2 and retire in another 2 races.

Emanuelle Pirro participare in 40 races in 3 season 1989, 1990 and 1991. First race he was on 12 January 1989 at Paul Richard. Finish in points in 2 races 1989 Adelaide and 1991 at Monte Carlo. He obtain 3 points, drive for Benetton and Dallara. At Hungaroring run in 3 races finish twice.
